Estiuck Al Regun (born 9 August 1999) is a UK-based Tech Entrepreneur from Bangladesh, known for his work in robotics, open-source education, and digital entrepreneurship. He is the founder of DataXpie Ltd, a UK-registered global technology company. Largely self-taught, Regun’s journey spans web development, startup leadership, and community-driven innovation, making him a notable voice in the intersection of technology and accessible education.
🧒 Early Life and Education
Estiuck Al Regun, widely known as Regun, was born in Bishwamvarpur, Sunamganj, Bangladesh. At age five, he moved with his family to Sunamganj town to access better education. His father, a businessman with no tech background, supported Regun’s passion for technology from a distance.
Regun completed his Primary School Certificate (PSC) from Government Jubilee High School (2008–2010) and later joined Jalalabad Cantonment Public School & College (English Version). It was during this time, around 2011, that he discovered freelance marketplaces like oDesk (now Upwork) and Freelancer.com, inspiring him to learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript using free eBooks, tech blogs, and a costly Zoom Ultra modem.
At the age of 12, he designed and sold his first professional website to a U.S.-based client for $100, using a freelancer profile under his father’s name since he was underage.
Despite excelling in Mathematics and Science during his Junior School Certificate (JSC) exams, he was placed in the Commerce stream due to lower scores in Bangla and Religious Studies. Seeking a path aligned with his technical interests, he applied to Sylhet Polytechnic Institute (SPI) and was admitted in August 2016 to study Computer Technology.
This decision, made against family and societal expectations, marked a pivotal moment in his educational journey.
🧠 Mental Health Struggles and Turning Point
The early years at SPI were challenging due to campus politics, peer pressure, and isolation. In 2017, overwhelmed by academic and social stress, Regun attempted suicide through a sleeping pill overdose. His family intervened in time, and he survived.
His recovery, which spanned six months, involved deep reflection, reading motivational literature, and consuming self-help content. Influential books included Zen Mind, Beginner’s Mind, Outliers, The Secret, You Can Win, and Bengali literature like সাঁতারু ও জলকন্যা.
This period marked a mental and emotional transformation, strengthening his purpose and clarity.

🤖 Early Robotics and Technology Initiatives
While still a student, Regun founded the JCPSC Robotics Club in 2015. The club quickly rose to national recognition, winning awards at Biggan Utshob and Children’s Science Congress.
In 2016, he was invited to Digital World, Bangladesh’s premier ICT exposition, where he presented student-led tech projects. He later proposed a robotics club at SPI, which was rejected due to departmental resistance and student rivalry. Despite setbacks, he built a personal lab and taught himself advanced topics like IoT, drone technology, and Raspberry Pi applications.
Between 2016 and 2018, he co-developed a solar-powered IoT drone capable of wireless signal jamming and remote control. This project won the BASIS National ICT Award and received a nomination at APICTA 2018, earning him international recognition.
💼 Pre-DataXpie Ventures
Before founding DataXpie, Regun explored multiple ventures:
- RoboYotta (2016): A robotics hardware startup that struggled due to a nascent market.
Sciventor (2016–2017): A nonprofit initiative to promote open science education and digital freedom. - Sylget (2017): A local e-commerce platform that failed due to team inconsistency.
- Prixomic (2017–2018): An e-commerce and digital service platform that showed promise but was dissolved due to partner disputes.
Each of these ventures taught Regun vital lessons in leadership, timing, market readiness, and trust.

🚀 Founding of DataXpie
In 2018, Estiuck Al Regun launched DataXpie with the mission of offering smart development, design, and marketing solutions to businesses. The company started in a dorm room with limited resources but limitless vision.
Initially, DataXpie allowed creators to upload and sell digital assets. However, market trends pushed Regun to pivot toward custom software services and later launch DataXpie Cloud, which included web hosting, domains, and VPS solutions.
As DataXpie matured, Regun moved away from using external freelancers and built a professional team focused on quality, not quantity. This strategic shift positioned DataXpie as a high-trust brand among small businesses and startups globally.

- MIST Robolution 2019 – 1st Place in the Mastermind category
- Grameenphone Accelerator 2.0 (2019) – Finalist and grant recipient of BDT 1 million, including mentorship and office space at GP House
- The BIZZ Award (2020) – International recognition by WORLDCOB for innovation and business excellence
- Startup of the Year (2021) – Winner by public vote via HackerNoon

🌍 Global Expansion and UK Company
By 2022, Regun realised that growing DataXpie globally required easier access to international payment systems and legal infrastructure. After exploring markets in the USA, Canada, and UAE, he chose the United Kingdom for its startup-friendly regulations and tax clarity.
On 5 October 2022, DataXpie Ltd (UK) was officially registered, with Regun as its sole director. In February 2024, the company received a UK Sponsorship License, enabling global recruitment—a rare milestone for a South Asian founder-initiated tech startup.

Estiuck regularly contributes content and supports workshops promoting free knowledge in Bengali. - Mozilla Campus Ambassador (2016–2018)
Organised Mozilla outreach workshops and built Himato, a blood donor management platform. - Rotaract Club of Sylhet Pioneer (2019–Present)
Held leadership roles including:- International Service Director (2019–2020) – Initiated cybersecurity workshops and tech quizzes.
- Club Service Director (2020–2023) – Led tech training and global webinars.
- President (2023–2024) – Promoted mental health awareness and cyber wellness.
Through these roles, Regun blends technology, social impact, and youth mentorship.
